"Consider me 'eld te it," he said before she suddenly kissed his cheek. He felt a spark against his skin like he had never felt before. He looked at her in wonder, unable to argue with her when she insisted she walks the rest of the way alone. He stood there at the base of the stairs watching her form walk away from him and feeling incredibly alone for the first time in his life.
Once she was out of sight, he remained rooted in place for a few more moments. "Bugger all," he finally muttered, knowing he was in trouble. He couldn't be sure she felt anything other than friendship for him, but he certainly felt that electric shock course through his body like lightning. He would have to keep himself in check when around her, that was for certain.
Slowly, to ensure that he didn't come along her transversing the halls, he made his way to his room.
