"Then I would be 'appy te teach ye," he said excitedly. He hoped that at least a handful of his students were so eager to learn the subjects he knew. He nodded. "Astrology, aye, tis a bit o' a mystery te most people. Tis amazing 'ow much the stars know abou' a person, an' can inform abou' situations."
Merrick was no stranger to intimacy with a woman, he was a knight after all, but he lacked a connection on a deeper level. While he had enjoyed the talents of some, he had never had mind-blowing sex. He suspected it was because he had never had an emotional pull toward someone special. Granted, he tended to keep his heart protected but he hoped that somewhere in his future there would be one.
Those were thoughts for another time though, perhaps when he was alone with his mind. Certainly not here with Godric's beautiful sister despite them having friendly chemistry, or at least that's what it felt like to him. He wondered if he felt the same.
"Ye 'ave a wee lass, aye?" he asked. If he was to get to know her, he should know at least a little bit of her daughter as well. Someone should look out for them. Not that he was necessarily up for the job, it was more of an idle thought really. Godric was doing a good enough job for now but with the school in swing, would he be able to mind his sister's needs? Also something he shouldn't worry about. It wasn't in his job description. No, he needed to mind his own business.
