"Tut, tut, my dear," Rowena said as she helped Helga into her room after Godric left their side. She figured he was off to the tavern and was glad he had taken the vial from her, regardless of whether he actually drank the contents or not. At least she had the knowledge that she had tried to save him from himself. That was all she could do in the long run.

"It was simply an elixir to stave off the after-effects of imbibing too much drink," she said as her best friend kicked off her shoes. She reached into the hidden pockets of her dress and produced another vial and held it up to Helga. "Of which you too shall be taking. I can't have you stumbling around the hot kitchen with a headache or upset stomach tomorrow. It should also help you sleep restfully."

Once she was sure that the woman took the offered potion, Rowena set herself to helping her friend disrobe to at least her shift so that she could sleep more comfortably. After assisting her with stepping out of her dress, she carefully set it aside on a piece of furniture where one of the house elves would take care of putting it away. She quickly returned to Helga's side in case her best friend needed further assistance getting into bed.

Helga hesitated for a moment before she took the potion from Rowena. Not that she didn't trust her close friend to give her a prank potion but it took her arm just a bit longer to move up and take it once it was held out for her. Every inch was beginning to feel like it was slowly being weighed down by sandbag making it hard to do much despite her insides not feeling the same effect and wanting to move around like a spring chicken in the summer sun. Odd bit of conflicting feelings but she was too tired and too drunk to really notice it. Just the odd feeling her body moved physically slower then she thought it did.

After taking the potion, she accepted the help with undressing from her clothes. There was a small delay when she thought to double check the pockets of both her apron and her dress to make sure her children hadn't stowed away in them to be with her. She was sure she had felt something move but after Rowena checked for the fourth time Helga was convinced they weren't there after all but could possibly still be hidden away in her apron in the kitchens and made a note to double check in the morning as she didn't want to disturb them if they were fast asleep. The elves would look in on them if they were there.

Shuffling to her bed, Helga set down her knitted shawl on a corner of the headboard of her four poster bed. Come morning it would be chilly and she had by now gotten into the habit drunk or sober to make sure it was there when she would need it in the morning. She stumbled a bit at first, her hands not quite gripping the blankets tightly enough but with Rowena appearing beside her they managed to pull down the blankets enough for her to crawl into bed.

Everything in her was beginning to shut down, exhaustion and now the potion making her leaning towards laying her head down and drifting off to most likely the deepest sleep she would have in the last week or two. Only she turned to her best friend instead of crawling into bed, her hand reaching out to take one of hers loosely and she smiled warmly. "It's finally happening. All the hard work and time spent in making this into a real thing has come to light. We have a magical school now, and students here to learn from all of us! Its finally happening and we have you and your brilliant mind to thank for coming up with the idea and getting us all together." Helga said and gave her best friend's hand a squeeze. Releasing it she slowly sunk down to sit on the edge of her bed again, doing what she could to hold in a yawn wanting to slip free.

"I hope Salazar isn't mad at me in the morning" She began but paused as the yawn managed to get free and she covered her mouth until it had finished. "I like my friends to be happy and he is so often more grumpy or serious than happy these days. We should find him a wife or does he have one already? Well maybe a pet then, they are more easily found and tend to bring joy no matter what rough day a person has had. But what kind of pet is the question and it would need to be one that is safe to have around the students and won't pick fights with any of the other animals." Helga continued in a mild ramble, her words slightly slurring again as her tired state tried to silence her but hadn't managed to do very well. She chuckled as she shifted and lay down on her bed, her eyes struggling to stay open as she smiled. "I don't think he is much of a dog person but it would be rather funny if he was and his dog and Godrics got together. It would make them co grandpa's to their puppies and just the sight of the two of them looking after a cluster of puppies seems like a silly scene indeed."

Rowena was amused by her friend's drunken ramblings and was glad to see she was finally just about ready to rest and sleep it off. She would be back to being a busy bee in the morning and she deserved a deep, restful sleep before then. This was a decade coming for her it seemed like. She squeezed Helga's hand in return with a warm smile reserved for only her best of friends.

"Yes, tis truly happening but if it weren't for the three of you it would have never come to pass, no matter how genius of an idea it was," she said before letting her friend go so she could properly get into bed.

When Helga returned to the subject of Salazar, Rowena clicked her tongue and shook her head, still amused. "Oh, Salazar will be fine with you by the morn, silly one," she said endearingly. "He does not like being wrong or overruled. What strong-minded man does really? And I think he'd get along better with a pet snake than a dog, to be honest. But you might be on to something in that he needs a good woman to challenge him in ways we can't. Maybe letting go of some of that pent-up frustration would do him some good. Tis almost a shame he doesn't visit a brothel from time to time to exercise some of his unused energy."

"Alas, questions for another time dear one," she said before leaning over and pulling the covers up over her best friend to ensure she was secure in bed and cozy. "Sleep now and I'll see you in the morn." Once she was sure Helga's eyes were closed and her breathing evened out, Rowena slipped out of the woman's room and headed to her own. After taking her own share of the potion she soon disrobed and tucked herself into bed as well.

Helga might have been a bit concerned and worried at Rowena's response to helping de-grumpy their friend, mostly the part about visiting a brothel. Not that there would normally be anything wrong with it, men sometimes had needs and when they weren't married they unfortunately had to seek it out with a business that catered to that. It was just the idea of Severn or Godric for that matter going in to one of those places that would have upset her.

Thankfully most of it was all a passing breeze in her mind at this point, she was too drunk and far too tired at this point to remain focused much more on anything but breathing and growing comfort of her cozy bed. Helga felt the blanket move over her form and shifted to lay on her side as she willed her eyes to stay open just a bit longer.

"Another busy day awaits in the morn. I sure hope everyone will be hungry cause there will be plenty to eat before the first lesson of the day" She muttered, her voice slower and words stretched out as she yawned once or twice. "See you in the morn my dear friend." Her hand moved in a wave or so she thought but it was really only her fingers that moved. It wasn't long after her best friend left that Helga was fully embraced in sleep, shifting only once to lay on her other side as her mind dreamed of a familiar and pleasant place that always brought a smile to her face and lift to her mood.
