Godric had seen to finding Gwen a proper escort, then saw to ensuring that the two teachers would have a small repast sometime around the noon hour, courtesy of the house elfs. Finally, he had to make himself fully presentable to the students upon their arrival. Of course, he certainly couldn't do it like this. Split lip, blackening eye, bloodied pant from when someone pushed him into a table and he'd cut his hip on a ragged board. Oh, it was definitely true, you should see the other guy but if he showed up to the gates looking like this, the others would probably have his head.

Thus, he'd bathed in the lake before coming up to inform Merrick of his duties today. Dealt with the elfs and then headed for the infirmary (grabbing a berry tart on his way out of the kitchen, of course). Now he was trying to find the essence of dittany for the cuts. Of course, this place had been organized but not in any way that made sense. Thus he was having to go through all the cabinets in search of what he needed. Thus far, he hadn't found anything that he needed and he'd already been at it for ten minutes. And he still needed to change his clothing into proper wizarding robes to lend a more respectable image in case guardians came to drop off their charges into the care of the quartet. Image was everything.

"Okay, if I were essence of dittany, where would I be?" He muttered, standing next to the second cabinet he'd been through, looking around the room for a big sign pointing out the location. He could always summon it, he supposed, but that would likely make a mess (not realizing the mess he had already made pulling things out during his search). But if he broke the bottle in the process, as he had with something that looked noxious and smelled worse, then that was just one more thing Healer Gudrun had to make again.

He looked back at the growing puddle, cocking his head. "Tell me the truth, you eat through stone don't you? You certainly smell like you could." He gagged a little, taking out his wand to poke at it and see what kind of reaction he would get.

Astrid was on her way back from the trip to the village with Rowena. The journey had been interesting with a little talk between them mostly on little subjects. Receiving her wand however had been the highlight of the trip, the owner hadn't asked her much and mostly handed her wand after wand in what she assumed was to see if one was to her liking. It wasn't until he handed her one in particular, a wand made from hawthorn wood with the core of a unicorn hair, 12 3/4in long and an unyielding flexibility that she felt an odd feeling she hadn't felt in a long time, since her first experience with magic at a very young age. Her reaction seemed to be what the shop owner was looking for and with a smile said it was hers. After paying for her wand and tucking it safely into her pocket, she returned to the school with Rowena. The experience had been a little nerve wracking because she was unsure just what to expect but now that she knew at least when she had the chance to take her siblings she would be able to be the support they need as Rowena had been for her. For now she would tuck her fathers wand away in her room and on her next trip to see her siblings she would leave it behind for all of them to properly display somewhere alongside their mother's wand.

Wanting to double or at this point triple check everything was in order in the infirmary while she still had time, Astrid made her way up to the grand room. She looked up at first, eyeing the large windows trailing one side of the room and already brightening up the space with natural light. She took several steps into the room, her mind forming a list to check things when a voice caught her attention and she paused. Was someone here going through everything? Was it someone hurt or someone trying to cause trouble? True she hadn't hid the fact she had come from an environment soaked in viking tradition and rumors but she didn't think anyone would outright cause her trouble like this, not today.

With the help of her combat training and maybe some luck whoever the voice belonged to wasn't paying attention, Astrid calmly and quietly approached. She took note of several blood soaked cloths and puddles of dirty water along the floor as she crossed the room, hinting at her mind that it had to be someone injured and when a quick fix didn't help they had come in search of something stronger. The question was though, who?

Her question was answered as she made it across the room to the cabinets she kept the various potions and ingredients stored away and standing in front of it was the familiar outline of Godric. She had only encountered him a few times, him a bit hesitant to approach though she couldn't imagine why other than the usual reasons. Still, even though things were a little shaky between them she wasn't about to let his injury go unnoticed nor it seemed for is inability to read the labels across several of the bottles in his frantic search.

With a smile, Astrid loosely folded her arms across her chest as she watched just a moment longer. Wearing a dark teal colored dress, it hugged a few of her curves but not enough to draw attention to the figure under it and would go well with her white apron currently hanging up on the wall just to the left of her injured invader but she would wait to grab it just yet. It just looked like to much of a fun opportunity to catch this man off guard for what seemed to be a rare chance.

"Thankfully for the stone and your boot that potion won't eat through them but it will leave behind a terrible smell if not cleaned up sooner rather than later." Astrid said calmly behind him, doing everything she could to hold back a smirk at the reaction that was potentially about to happen, like a child getting caught sneaking a treat when told no and instead offered a small simple and helpful smile. "You'll find the essence of dittany on the second shelf from the top, third from the right in the medium jar labeled as so. However might I suggest something a little stronger if you've still an open wound and bleeding? If you don't mind stepping aside, I can see about gathering it for you and patching you up before the students start to arrive."

Godric hadn't heard anyone come in, too curious about the potion that was unaffected by the poke of his wand or any of the other revealing magic he'd attempted on it. Then again, there were just some potions that were impervious to magic once they were created. Nothing to be done with them other than clean it up and continue on - something he had been considering doing just to get rid of the smell when the voice startled him. He quickly straightened up, pivoting towards the sound with his wand at the ready in case of trouble. Of course, the sword at his side knocked into the cabinet and knocked another potion off the shelf behind him.

"I'll, um..." He then noticed that it was the healer Rowena had hired. Slowly he began to take stock of the room around him. With a sheepish look at her, he grimaced. "I would have cleaned it up." He insisted, though he was certain that after the way he saw things had been arranged, Godric knew that he would never have been able to put it to rights the way she would have wanted it.

When she told him where the dittany was, he turned back and followed her directions to find it rather quickly. Now he felt a bit of the fool for not having found it sooner. It was rather nicely labeled after all. He had just given up the search a bit earlier than he should have or else he would have found it on his own. Likely quickly enough to clean up some of this at least to her satisfaction.

"Oh," he remembered, switching hands and pointing his wand at the bubbly mess and cleaned it up with barely a thought. The spot on the floor was spotless. While many would be surprised that he knew his way around cleaning charms, Helga hadn't just taught him how to improve the food he cooked on the road. He also had to make sure his spoons, kettle, spit, etc were clean before he could use them. Thus, he knew how to clean items rather well and it seemed that scourgify worked just as well on the floor as it did on cutlery and pots. Who would have thought!

Of course, the girls would have thought him a fool for not knowing that already but when one did not have to use spells in certain ways, it was hard to know what would work before you did it. And why not test out the chance when he could have the chance to show off that he wasn't completely incompetent?

"Come here dittany, you beautiful potion you." He said gleefully, moving out of the way. "I couldn't find anything for the black eye though and I know the essence of dittany doesn't work on that. Have you anything for it?" He questioned, knowing that without something that would take away the bruising, he would still look a rather gruesome sight but it would be better without the limp or the split lip. While Healer Gudrun could likely handle the cut on his lip, he doubted she would want him to strip enough to take care of the slice on his hip. That might be a bit too much for the young woman, considering how far he would have to lower his trousers.

Astrid took in the reaction from Godric, managing to keep her cool at his obvious state of being startled and caught red handed, including knocking over what seemed to be a second potion. Well, almost, there was a small glint that sparkled in the corner of her eye for a split second but that was simply her smirk having gotten too much to fully hold back and overcarried to her eyes at the scene. It was simply the act of catching him trying to be quiet and sneaky more or less and had nothing to do with his current appearance or situation. The thrill of catching someone in the act if you could call it that.

She taken aback a little bit as he swiftly cleaned up the mess on the floor, it wasn't common she noticed someone clean up after themselves though that could just be because she lived in a household with younger children and creating a mess was their objective. If one didn't stay on top of it, the house usually ended up upside down in a manner of hours.

When he stepped aside, Astrid moved forward and collected her apron, slipping it on and she turn to look at Godric as he spoke and asked her for something for his black eye. She calmly stepped closer, pausing to stand a little less then two steps away from him. Her gaze moved to look over his eye, studying it before moving to the cut on his lip. She made a small short hum sound as she thought, taking note of the light limp he had when he stepped aside and the damp look to one side of his shirt. There seemed to be more at play then what he was sharing and while he wouldn't be expecting it, she planned on seeing to all of his injuries and treating them to the best of her ability.

Without a word she turned around, her golden colored hair swayed along her back during the movement and she approached her cabinet to gather what she needed. Rather than tie her hair back today she had it pinned in a few places so it was out of her face and a small braid circled around the top rear of her head keeping the rest of her loose hanging hair to her back and off her shoulders. At some point she would braid the rest of it or tie it down but for now it was fine as it was. New wand held firmly in her head, she waved it towards the tray from a nearby table and moved it to hover at her side as she collected several bottles from the cabinet. She made a note to repair the mild mess he had made to her organization as she gathered a few towels and summoned an empty bowl to the nearby sink.

"If you'll take a seat on the bed behind you, we can see about mending those injuries so you can be in a presentable state for the students arriving soon." Astrid said as she set down the tray onto a small end table. Turning she approached the sink and after filling it with cool water she set it down onto a rolling cart and pushed it towards Godric. Her set up complete she turned to him, waiting until he took a seat to look over the various injuries again. "Would you like the black eye and cut lip treated first or the wound on your side? I would advise the wound on your side as it seems to be bleeding again and could very well become infected if not treated soon." she said in a gentle professional tone and meeting his gaze, offering a kind simple smile a moment later. While she was doing her best to remain as sweet and kind as she could, something about him and his current state or perhaps catching him off guard had her craving to tease into him just a little bit. Push on the manly ego he portrayed loudly through the castle whether or not he intended on it. No doubt he had women swooning at his feet with his charm and heroics, which she wasn't about to go to that level, she could play the gentle soul for now and do her best to patch him up before the schools new residents arrived soon.

Godric watched as she brushed past him to put on a crisp, white apron and then tie her long blond hair back. It was surprisingly clean and when she walked by, he could catch just a whiff of odor - she'd just spent some time outdoors, if his nose was right. Should have been. He'd already fixed that easily enough. Considering how many times he'd been punched there, it was a miracle he could smell anything any more. Luckily, it was one of the first lessons he had learned as a magical page. Else he would have been a sight uglier than he was now.

When she turned back to start gathering her supplies, he backed away from the sight of semi-disaster. He really hadn't meant to make such a mess but he'd been a little desperate. If he had shown up like this to meet the others, well - he could just imagine the looks on his friends' faces. While it might be okay normally, today was important. Having a teacher who looked like he spent his nights on the battlefield might give people the impression that the students weren't safe here. It was the last thing he wanted!

When she had assembled a great many more things than he had ever used to patch himself up, Healer Gudrun then indicated for him to take a seat. "It really isn't necessary," Godric assured her, though he took a seat, curious as to what she had prepared to fix him up. "I know you must have a great deal to do. If you would just give me the potion for the eye, I can get the rest. Been doing it for years now. Part of surviving battle fields for as long as I did." Plus, he didn't think she wanted to tend to the rent on his hip. That delved into places that women weren't supposed to see on a man unless they were climbing into bed with each other.

Not that Godric thought of such things! He had learned his lessons about tumbling with random women after the last one stole his best cloak and a small purse from his belt. And he certainly wouldn't think about bedding one of their staff members! That would be most inappropriate, of course.Okay, so maybe he did think of such things. He was only human after all and this woman was rather beautiful. With long blond hair, kind eyes, and high cheek bones - to look at her was to see the Scandinavian ancestry there. While he had faced down many a Viking in his days, few of them had looked as she did. (Thank goodness or he wouldn't be alive today!)

Astrid had expected his hesitance to treat his bigger injury, trying to pass off his timid modesty for her being much to busy to treat him. Modesty she knew wasn't just reserved for women, men had it too and somehow on Godric it was a little cute how he was trying to just get a quick fix and be on his way. A heroic and rugged noble man, rumored to face down a great force single handedly was embarrassed about her seeing a little of his skin. As if he had anything to feel embarrassed or modest about, it wouldn't be the first time she had seen the nude body of a man that wasn't her husband or in fact any of her brothers she had raised since infancy.

She gave him a warm smile but stood firmly in place in front of him. "I really must insist you let me heal you rather than you do so on your own Sir Gryffindor. Your an important person and with today being an important one for you and the others, we can't very let them see you not looking your best. It won't take long I promise but you'll need to trust me and follow my instructions or it could take longer. I'm really not as busy as you may think, just a few last minute things that won't take long once I have seen to your care first" Astrid explained as she placed one of the towels into the bowl to soak up some of the water. She considered putting in a second, not sure just how bad his injury was but decided not to until she had a chance to examine it first.

"If you are still unsure about my skills, I can assure you I have treated many injuries both battle and job related along with a variety of illnesses during my career as a healer. I lived on and off a boat for a few years and had my share of seeing more skin then was possibly proper for a young woman to see not to mention of my eight younger siblings that I have helped raised since they are born, I have five brothers. There is not one inch of the body, male or female I have not seen or had the chance to treat an injury on, I aim to do everything I can to help someone in pain and in need and keep things professional at all times. Allow me the chance to prove to you that I can be someone you can depend on not just to treat the students coming here but you as well. You can come to me when you are in need of a patch up and I will say not one word to anyone else even if they ordered me to on the matter. It will stay between us unless you say otherwise." As she spoke, Astrid gave Godric her full attention and even her warm smile had dimmed a bit if only to try and prove her point that she seriously wanted to help him modesty or not.

Her words said, she let him mull them over in his mind for a moment as she turned to the tray and picked up a small bottle containing a green liquid. Wand still in her hand she turned back to look at Godric again, the warmth returning to her smile hoping to reassure him he was in good hands. "While I would much rather see to your more concerning injury, I can treat your eye and lip first and we can go from there. If your still concerned about proper modesty I can grab a towel or a bed sheet we can makeshift to cover you while I treat the injury on your side." Astrid continued, unable to stop herself from adding in the comment on his modesty. Again she found herself desiring to tease him given his sudden bashfulness.

Men like him, they acted tough, strong, and proud, but it was always a interesting sight when they were asked to remove clothing in front of a woman when they hadn't mentally prepared themselves too. Big softies, the lot of them and Godric seemed no different. He was handsome and carried the physical signs of being on the receiving end of a tough fight or two. No doubt he had his scars both on his body and his spirit that he guarded well. Yet it didnt stop him from smiling cheerfully when she had seen him in the corridors or when he past by the trading post on his way to the tavern. He made sure to bring a positive mood to spread around and left for the most part with the area happy, well except for the times he was involved with some trouble at the tavern but even then he kept his spirits up.

Looking at him now, Astrid could see he was trying to do so even now. Hoping to give her the chance to clean up the mess he had caused and apologized for it. Yet as she met his gaze waiting for his reply she couldn't help but note something else there. A shadow if you could call it hovering just behind that happy energy and she couldn't help wonder what it was to cause such bright drawing eyes to be injured in such a way not even she knew right away how to treat it.

Godric was prepared to continue to argue with her, insist that she not be expected to treat him. She had been hired to attend the students, not a fool-hardy old man who had yet to learn to keep his mouth shut when his dander was up. Well, he assumed that was why Rowena hired her. He had not been a part of that decision, though he had agreed that a dedicated healer would be needed. So many children and young adults learning magic, accidents were bound to happen that would require more attention than a teacher could do when there were (hopefully) a dozen other students needing their attention. And what if there were two accidents in a single class!!

Thus, yes - a healer was needed. For him though...?

However, there was not much time left before he had to meet the others down at the gates. Arguing would just make him later and irritate the others further. Sighing, he nodded.

"Very well but it needs to be quick. If necessary, just stitch the slice on my side and we can treat it later," he said, knowing that while stitches were dangerous, they were faster in the long run. And they would only be in until tonight when there was more time to give the wound the attention necessary.

"You'll need to fetch a blanket as the one on my side..." He gave just the slightest grimace as he reached over to show her above his clothing that it ran from just above his hip, running down a good five inches. Yes, that one had been one of pride.

Though the fact that she seemed unbothered by the thought of seeing him naked was a bit of a wound to his pride. The women he'd been with before had been eager to see him naked and had seemed to like what they had seen. None of them were so detatched. He had worked very hard and had a damn good body to show for it. Better yet, not a single scar that anyone could see. The last thing he wanted was to scare people off when they looked at him!

He shucked off his shirt, bristling in the cool morning air but waited as she grabbed him a blanket of sorts to cover up with before having her hold it up and look away while he dropped his trousers. Then he sat back down on the bed, covering everything but the nasty wound up. Looking at it now in the light from the window across from the bed, he could better see it. A pleased look crossed his face. It was rather wide, a bit of the top layers of skin torn away. At least he wasn't coming here for a scratch. It wasn't going to be an easy fix - even with stitches and it was going to hurt like hell if she decided it needed to be cleaner that he'd already made it.

But she was right, it was definitely bleeding again. Not profusely or enough to be concerned but it would definitely have bled through his robes. "Alright then, no time to waste." He said, bracing himself for whatever treatment she thought would be best.

Stubborn till then end, just like a child went through her mind as she listened to his reply and eventually give in to her request. Astrid had faith she would win this fight against him, pride for a man was just as high up their as their odd variations of modesty and thankfully she was able to hold back on smiling in victory. She did take advantage to look over the injury when Godric raised his shirt high enough. It looked bad but not terrible and it was a testament to him for how long he must have endured the pain from it once his adrenaline wore off. Possibly whatever alcohol he had consumed as well, it was noticeable now that she stood close to him and unable to help herself she wondered what the other man must look like after losing to a man like Godric.

She set down the potion and her wand before stepped across the room and grabbing a clean white sheet from another cupboard. Try as he might to suggest her to just stitch it up and they could worry about it later, she let it brush off already having in mind a way she would mend the injury and permitting he didn't protest to much would be quicker then having to sew his skin together.

Astrid felt the hair on the back of her neck prickle and her breath pause in her lungs when she turned around to return to Godric and found him standing up with his shirt removed. The sight caught her attention and it took all of her will not to run her eyes over all of his exposed skin. Indeed he was a rather dashing man, his body built and maintained from his profession and a slight tan hinted on his exposure to the sun and elements of nature. No doubt his wife was a rather lucky woman to have someone like him to wind down each day with. Lucky she got to enjoy the physical example of his strength and power when he held her and the tender warmth of his heart when they were alone. Some women had all the luck indeed.

Internally shaking the distraction from her mind, she returned to the bed and Godric. Doing as he asked she unfolded the sheet and held it up between them like a makeshift curtain. The material was a little thin so Astrid could see the shadow of his movements and turned her head to the side to avoid hitting any further into his ego. Only she didn't take into account the small mirror on a nearby pillar that either one of them must have bumped into at one point because instead of being angled enough to see the infirmary doors across the room, she was instead looking at a fully naked Godric on the other side of the sheet. The sight was in the blink of an eye before she sharply looked down at the floor to avoid seeing it any more. The damage had already been done if you could call it that, her heart skipped a beat at the momentary sight of his physical state, toned and muscled to make any women weak in the knees. She drew in her lower lip and nipped at it lightly to remain silent about the seen. His wife was indeed a very lucky woman.

Astrid remained still when he took the sheet from her and she took the extra precaution of her mind bringing the image back up to close her eyes as he made a makeshift cover for his body and sat back down. She took the halt of sound as confirmation she was done and opened her eyes, releasing her lower lip just before and turning to look at him. As she had practiced, her features remained calm and collected, unbothered by his new state of appearance as she stayed professional.

"First thing lets treat your lip as this might make it worse otherwise." she said, picking up her wand and taking a step closer. Astrid leaned forward, taking her free hand and gently taking hold of his chin. She directed his face up slightly, gently easing his head back to get a better angle. It was hard not to take note of the decrease of space between them but holding firm to her professionalism as a healer she didn't let it effect her as she pointed the tip of her wand to the cut on his lip. "Episkey" she said quietly making a small circle motion as she said the spell out loud. She took note of the skin healing itself in less time then a breath and leave behind no evidence that it had been there in the first place. With a smile, Astrid leaned away, gently taking her hand from his chin with her and turned to the tray again. This time she picked up what looked like a piece of bark a little smaller than the size of her palm and she held it up towards his mouth. "Bite down on this, it will reduce the pain on both your teeth should you wince or grind them in pain and the oils will help ease some of the pain away as your body absorbs them. This next part will be a little painful, though I have no doubt you may have felt worse the bark is just a precaution to avoid any other injuries from happening as well as part of the treatment I have in mind." she waited until he took it, either with his hand or letting her place it between his lips.

With the bark in place she grabbed a different potion from the tray, this one a deep purple color and a faint trail of smoke was curling around the top of the bottle. Astrid calmly lowered herself down to sit on her knees on the floor so she was better level with his hip. She reached for the bowl of water and set it down beside her then looked up at Godric offering an encouraging expression to help ease any worry or nervousness he may have been feeling. He would be in safe and well experienced hands and she was hoping she was expressing that enough.

Godric had no idea that he had been so exposed, and likely a good thing too or he would have been red all over from embarrassment. The last thing he wanted was women to be traipsing after him while he was trying to be a responsible adult! It was what tended to happen when he got even partially naked with anyone (with that one exception, of course). Instead, he remained blissfully ignorant of the healer's roving eyes and her dangerous thoughts towards him.

Curiously, she used the same spell on his lip that he had used on his nose. He had been unaware that the spell was multi-faceted. He had thought it was only for minor breaks like toes or fingers or noses. Interesting that it also worked on skin as well. He might have to try that out the next time he was in need of healing for one reason or another. The less he had to depend on others to clean up his messes, the better off relations would likely be between the healer and himself. And it was important that they could work professionally together for the sake of the students.

But if he was always having to come to her for healing, she would likely think him no better than a more clumsy child still learning to walk. Not that he was always getting hurt! Godric was quite capable. He just did the occasional fun thing that turned out to be not so brilliant in the aftermath. Heaven help him if any of his students were like him in personality because this woman would be on the job every hour of the day just trying to keep them in fighting shape!

When she offered him the bark, he looked at her as though she had lost her mind. It may hurt a bit, he wasn't some green soldier unused to pain. She would do what she had to do and he would sit still and bear it, as he had trained himself to do. He took it in hand, not sure about what oils would do to help him with the pain. "Thank you for the offer but no, save it for the students who might need it." Godric said, setting it on the table she'd pulled up beside them. Of course, she had already used it so it was going to waste anyway but he refused to be a that stripling of a page who couldn't bear a healer's touch. This was a point that she made very clear. It was already used and she could not use it again - thus, use it and not let it go to waste. It was almost a five minute argument - time waning that he did not have. Finally, he grabbed the stick hastily and put it in his mouth and then gave her a look as if to say, 'There, happy now?'.

Astrid was a little heated but managed to remain calm, at least on the outside. Godric was indeed a stubborn one, perfectly modeling the tough male behavior that he would be fine, that he could handle the pain just fine. Time and time again she saw that attitude change in a heartbeat, particularly when faced with the purple potion she had grabbed. It was a wound cleaning potion, a bit complex and advanced in how it was made but one of the better potions every healer needed to have on hand. Rather then taken by mouth it was applied to the skin and not only sterilized the injury but it was the strongest antiseptic she had found. Infection was a rare chance after she used this no matter how dirty or hazardous the object was to cause the injury in the first place. The problem being that no one expected was it did sting and the strength of that sting varied between people. While she wasn't jumping to assuming Godic would be crying out in pain, she didn't doubt he would rethink arguing with her about the willow bark. The oils would help ease the pain of his injury and the remnants of the stinging feeling, lasting a bit longer to further help him welcome the arriving students with minimal hints to being injured in the first place.

She waited until he was settled the took the towel from the bowl of water and after wringing it out she gently cleaned up the wound and the area around it. She felt him react a first, the cold water against his otherwise warm skin would make anyone jump but she couldn't stop now. They had wasted enough time and the quicker she got this done, the quicker he could rush off to his next task. She pressed it against the wound trying to be as tender as she could as the cold water helped stop the bleeding. Once his wound was ready, she rinsed off her hands and dried them then reached for a new towel and the purple potion after removing the cork lid.

"Ready?" Astrid asked, she glanced up at him for a moment then directed her attention back on his side. When he gave his answer, she put the towel just below the gash to catch the drippings and tilted the bottle slightly until a very thin stream of the purple liquid fell from the top right into the center of the wound. A faint purple color smoke began to rise as the wound began to heal. She went from one side to the other, slowly but steadily to make sure every bit of the wound had been touched by the potion.

When she finished with the potion, Astrid quickly set the bottle down and grabbed her wand, giving the injury a few episkey spells to help the potion heal his injury. She remained focused and determined through the process, adjusting her touch and pace based on Godric reaction. At the moment he wasn't one of her bosses but a patient depending on her help and he was due the best of her work regardless of their position or his resistance at first to proper treatment. She wanted to make sure he was as well cared for as anyone else who came seeking her help, that being said she was fully aware her mind wouldn't be so understanding the next time they crossed paths. Reminding her both of his stubborn modesty and male ego as well as the physical image burned in her mind and a dash of jealousy in her heart for his wife of seeing his naked body for a breath of a moment thanks to a shifted mirror. If it were possible, she would have liked to get away for a couple days. Embrace some time with her secret second life and go be a hero for a bit to clear her mind of all this but that was impossible with the school due to open in just a few hours. No, this time her mind would get to mess with her and it would be a test of her resilience to resist keeping things professional between them. It was better that way after all, as tempting of a specimen as Godric Gryffindor was, he was out of her reach and probably for the better. The last thing she wanted to do was cause any trouble or problems after letting her come work on the important project he and the others had spent so much on creating.

She took a moment to set down her wand and with both hands empty and free, she rubbed them together to warm them up then gently tested the newly healed skin on his side by touching the area gently with her fingertips. Thankfully both potion and spell had worked and he was not left with a scar or any sign of the injury. Exhaling a small breath, Astrid gave a smile as she set the things she had used back on to the cart she had pulled over and stood back up on her feet.

"All that remains is your black eye. Would you like me to treat that first or would you prefer to get dressed? The wound is mended and may give you a little phantom pain later this evening but if you take that willow bark with you and chew it like a piece of dried meat for a few minutes the oils will be released into your body and help act like a pain reliever to ease the feeling through the night. Its safe to eat but not required to do what it needs to help, the most it will do if eaten is help increase your digestion. I can also send you off with a potion to help relieve the pain later if you prefer that instead" Astrid explain, turning to look at him and giving him a chance to look over her work should he want to. She held out a hand in case he was finished with the willow bark and not interested in using it later, wanted to give it to her to dispose of instead.
