Helga smiled as Godric took the biscuit and shared with his furry companion. No doubt the other two had expected nothing less of their friend and thankfully for him she had made sure the biscuits were both human and dog friendly and wouldn't leave the odd after smell on their breath. She had a thought process for times like this, maybe it helped she knew enough about Godric over the many years they had known each other to make a few helpful adjustments for situations like this.

The attention was quickly moved to the road as Salazar pointed out the approach of a student. Helga smiled at the hint of excitement in his voice, a tone not too often heard on the otherwise calm and collected man. She glanced at Rowena wondering if she too had caught it then turned to look at the road. She took notice of Godric move slightly behind her and caught movement from the corner of her eye of Salazar also moving behind Rowena putting the two of the them in the front of the group. Maybe it was her tired mind but she couldn't help but think of a teasing fact they were putting the stronger members up front to be the first the new students would see. It was silly and maybe a little dumb sounding so she kept it to herself. She wasn't always they best at thinking up very cleaver teases, especially after a night without sleep.

Helga did her best to straighten up, looking as professional and welcoming as she could as they focused on the coming student and noticed another not that far behind also heading this way. She smiled but didn't gesture more then adjusting her hands to hang at the front of her body. "Looks like another is just a few steps behind the first. Hopefully and fingers crossed, the others in the village are not much farther behind" She whispered to the other two. With a warm and welcoming smile on her face, Helga directed her attention to the student closing the distance between them.

Kimberly looked over towards the others that were walking with her up to the school grounds. It was finally time for them to work on starting their magical careers. If she was, to tell the truth, her stomach was in knots from the nerves she was willing. This place the closer it got to it the bigger it looked. The witch is new that this place was to help her from not catching things on fire or breaking them. What was going to happen though till got used to all that and got it under control? Were they going to punish her if did something while trying to learn it did not mean it? Could they kick her out before it even started if let them get out of control on the way up there?

The witch relaxed a little when seen that Sir Gryffindor had brought his dog companion out with him. During their travels together getting to the town she spent lots of time girls up next to Rhiannon at night by the fire. Kimberly would not admit some of that she thought might be because sir Godric might think she would escape at night. Truth there were some nights that she thought about it. What he was saying at the time had sounded too good to be true. It was not like men to lie to get what they wanted and trick girls out there on their own. She knew that it had left he would have followed so it did not seem worth it.

She smiled once close enough to the group. Kimberly moved over to the dog bending over and scratching a little behind her ear. “Hello Rhiannon, it's nice to see you again. I have been trying to stay out of trouble.” After showing the dog just a little love since it was keeping her at ease more than the 4 people standing there greeting her. It was not meant to be but felt as if they were judging ready to decide what to happen. “Thank you all for the chance to learn how to control all this.”

Godric was relieved to see Kimberly as their first students. No reason why she shouldn't be, having lived down in the village for almost a month now. And Gwen had said that the girl was as ready for school as she could be, considering the circumstances sliding around her past. When she went right to Rhiannon, petting the dog whose tail was wagging furiously, he couldn't help but smirk. And to think that some of his friends hadn't wanted the hound down here. But if it's one thing he knew, animals could be comforting when people were intimidating. And it was only natural for Kimberly to greet Rhiannon, considering how much time they had spent together while traveling north.

When Salazar glanced his way, however, he wiped the smirk off his face, giving his friend a look of surprise and innocence, as though having no idea that Kimberly would do such a thing while secretly pleased by the behavior.

"Kimberly Vavassour," Godric said, as way of formerly introducing the student to the trio. "Kimberly, these are your new teachers. Lord Slytherin, Lady Ravenclaw, and Lady Hufflepuff." He said, pointing to each as he said their names. Then he let Rowena take over, knowing she would have instructions for the young woman regarding where to go and what to do with the small pack of the clothing she had brought with her.

"Welcome Miss Vavassour to Hogwarts," Rowena said with surprising pleasantness. "Today is the beginning of a wonderful adventure. You may proceed onto the grounds and into the castle if you wish or you may remain and wait for your soon-to-be classmates."

With a wave of her hand, she motioned toward others who were arriving shortly behind the girl. Rowena was already sizing her up. The fact that she greeted the dog before them was a little disappointing and she fully suspected the girl wouldn't be sorted into her house. In fact, if she were a betting woman which she typically was not she would wager the girl would have been placed in Godric's house.

Alas, they would find out soon enough once they put the sorting hat to the test. "If you wish to enter the castle, wait upon the stairs that lead to a pair of large double doors," she instructed. "We will lead you into the Great Hall for sorting once the others arrive."

Salazar was a bit disgusted by the girl's behavior, to be honest. To greet the dog before the four of them was rather rude, even if she was familiar with the animal in question. They were the ones she was going to need to impress. Rhiannon was supposed to be here merely as a silent observer.

Then Godric introduced her as one of the muggle-born that their knighted friend had brought up earlier in the summer. Salazar had seen her around the trading post a time or two and had known that Lady Moore had been down to help the girl prepare for classes unfairly over the other students who could not afford to come early and get assistance in reading and writing. Of course, had it been one of the students he had recruited who would actually amount to something, he wouldn't have minded so much.

But that was probably why they were splitting up the students into houses, as they did not all agree on the importance of who they wanted to teach. And considering her behavior, Salazar was almost in silent agreement with Rowena - definitely a Gryffindor student, though they knew very little about the young woman. She could very easily be headed for Helga's house. Only the Sorting Hat really knew...

Helga smiled warmly as the first of their students greeted Rhiannon first before approaching them. She saw little wrong with it unlike Rowena and Salazar. Depending on the girls age, she could very well be intimidated by the four of them standing there and animals were often the best soother of nerves. Particularly if one was already acquainted with an animal as it seemed Kimberly was and she wondered if the girl had been one of the few Godric had brought to the village. If anything her smiled warmed a bit more knowing the girl must have had quite the adventure making her way here, particularly if Godric had been her guide and his habit for being like a kid himself when he was in a good mood.

Unlike the others, she wasn't going to assume what house Kimberly would be part of. Figuring at least her best friend would know better than to judge a book by the cover, they were assuming based on a few outer facts no doubt where the girl would be places. Helga was sure there was a surprise or two hidden in each of the new students and no matter what they tried to guess as far as their placement, it could very well surprise them where the hat decided they fit in best. After all, it was the sorting hat they had created together that was to help decide which students would benefit the most in which house. She would be happy no matter who was assigned to her house, they would be welcomed warmly.

"Welcome to Hogwarts Miss Vavassour" Helga added as a warm greeting following Rowena's instructions. No sense in not making the girl feel welcome, it wasn't always easy coming to a new place and in some cases unfamiliar with knowing anyone at first. A lonely sounding feeling she was determined to lift right away from the coming students, no one would be made to feel unwelcome while she was here.

Kimberly smiled as Rhiannon’s tail started to wag. The smile had not lasted long when realized her mistake of not introducing herself to the others. That was not a smart move at all on her part since it was not the dog that was going to decide whether she stayed or not. She stood up nodding toward Godric as if saying thank you. He had at least tried to help her by actually introducing her.

Kimberly bows towards the four in front of her. “Thank you again for allowing me the chance to learn here.” Kimberly wanting to get away before kicking herself for messing again turned to head toward where Rowena had said the rest of the students could stand.

Cara faced the path ahead as she walked, doing what she could to keep herself calm and collected as she made her way towards her next and hopefully last temporary home. She was determined to make this the last one, then go make one of her own since it was obvious she couldn't depend on anyone but herself, no one to call family or give her false hope only to tug it away just as she lowered her guard.

Slung across her back was her bow, she wasn't going to make the mistake of not making use of its comforting touch right now. It would be even better if she had the chance to go shoot a few arrows too but unfortunately she hadn't saved enough time for it before needing to leave. Cara gripped her bag handle as she paused, taking a second to look up and take in the castle. Starting at the highest tower she moved her gaze down slowly as it formed an image in her mind until she spotted the four adults huddled together. She squeezed the handle of her bag again, watching as they spoke to someone who had been a few feet ahead of her but when it seemed like nothing more then a greeting was exchanged she continued forward, her back a little straighter as she embraced some of the proper educate she had been taught by the Lady Muirne.

By the time Cara reached the four adults she had enough time to form something in her mind about them. They didn't give her the same impression that Lady Muirne had given her, these four were regal not to mention strong. It was almost like you could taste their magic in the air but that could also very well be from the school itself just behind them.

As politely as she could Cara came to a stop in front of the group of adults and gave a simple gentle curtsy and a respectful light nod of her head to them. It was a basic but proper and elegant enough greeting the four were deserving of. "Thank you for allowing me the honor to come and attend your magical school to learn and grow under your personal tutelage. My name is Caratacos Toirdelbach, former ward of  Lady Muirne Máel Sechnaill of Peeblesshire Scotland." Cara said introducing herself in a clear and calm tone. She offered another respectful bow of her head once she finished and awaited the reply with a light jitter thankfully tucked away in her chest.

Rowena nodded as Kimberly stepped aside to await other students. Soon enough the next student approached and she smiled pleasantly at her. Such a strange name for a girl but Rowena had heard of plenty of stranger things in her time.

"Welcome to Hogwarts Miss Toirdelbach," she said. "We are happy to have you as a student. Now you may wait on the grounds for other students to arrive or you may enter the castle and wait for instruction on the stairs in the Entrance Hall. The choice is yours."

She motioned over toward where Kimberly stood before motioning back toward the castle itself. She figured simple instructions were easy enough to follow, to begin with. She waited for the others to welcome the new student before nodding to them to make their decision. Already other students were making their way up the hill.

Salazar straightened his back as the newest young woman, Miss Toirdelbach, approached and curtsy to the four of them. A much more sedate greeting. He wondered how she had heard about the school. He knew of the Lady she spoke of, having been introduced years ago but never moving in the same circles. However, there were three other Founders who may have known Lady Sechnaill and made the offer. Quite possible Helga or Rowena had known of her coming.

They really should have made a list of who they had spoken to so that they had something to compare to at the end of the week. Then, if there were people missing that they had originally talked into sending their wards or children and said individuals never showed up...

Something to bring up later. He nodded his head and once the girl had moved on, he quickly took out a scratch piece of parchment and, with his wand, quickly wrote - list of possible students. With that recorded for later, he returned his attention to the next student stepping up to introduce themself.
